Whomever you choose to study with, we assure you an unrivalled week in paradise, and profound changes in your relationship with horses.
The clinic section of our horsemanship vacations are split into 4 half day sessions, and when you are not learning, you will be riding through the best scenery that Costa Rica has to offer, you will ride among the rainforest trees to a secret river spot, where you will enjoy a rejuvenating natural mud bath. Another favorite you will experience is to ride through the town of Bijagual in and out of farms with spectacular scenery to a local lunch.
With our incredible connecting with caballos, you will feel the calm of nature while bonding with your horse in a connection you will never forget. Bonding with horses is sure to make a smile that will make your face ache!
You will also enjoy a horse free day where we will walk you through one of the most incredible national parks, OR immerse yourself with a hike in natures surroundings and dive into pristine natural waterfall at a local conservation area!
If that is not enough you will get to choose an amazing local tour. You can choose from a river cruise to see birds and crocodile (this is our favorite) and other wildlife tours are available. Try surfing or ziplining, or relax with a yoga class or a massage

Your week in detail:
Day 1. Sunday
Relax in your air conditioned private transfer and take in the wonderful views as you travel from San Jose International airport to a lush mountain retreat OR a beachfront hotel in the town of Jaco on the stunning Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
Day 2 Monday.
Wake up and start the day with a beautiful breakfast on the beach or in nature at the farm, then meet your horse for the week and enjoy the first day of your clinic. After the clinic relax a moment and digest lunch and what you learned because…
In the afternoon we set out on an adventure by horseback. Looking out for Howler monkeys, toucans and parrots or our Jungle spa tour. Riding your horse through palms and pastures of the farm to the river for a swim and spa treatment using volcanic clay mud scrub. Rinse off with a rejuvenating swim in the private river where you will emerge feeling refreshed with photos of a lifetime.
Day 3 Tuesday.
The second morning of your clinic will no doubt be incredible, wake once again to to a hearty breakfast right on the beach and then arriving to the farm where your horse will be ready and waiting for you. After the clinic we can take some time to chat and while at a local lunch. Get Ready! We then whisk you off to the Tarrcoles river for the famous croc tour. A tour you won’t forget!
Day 4 Wednesday.
Whilst all your new learning sinks in, we accompany you away on a horse free day. We will visit a majestic rain forest conservation project or a national park. Places that feel like heaven on earth.
Enjoy natural rain forest trails and maybe suspension bridges if that is what you like at Rainmaker. Swim in waterfalls and let nature reset your natural rhythms. Or meet the creatures of Costa Rica with a local guide in a national park and swim at the most beautiful beaches. Sloth, monkeys and so much more.
Day 5 Thursday.
Following breakfast it’s back to learning with your third clinic session. The afternoon will see you take an adventure on your own or as a group, you get to choose with this free afternoon after lunch. take a well earned rest, enjoy an afternoon of much needed down time to relax in your hammock, read your book or just float in the hotel pool ( hotel pool only in beachfront Jaco option). Maybe end your day with a sunset walk on the beach.
Day 6 Friday.
Following breakfast it’s our last day of learning with the morning clinic.
Anyone up for a ride to lunch? We weave our way through local farmland, and head to Paz del Campo for a wonderfully prepared lunch and drinks. Once back to the farm you will be taken back to your hotel to get ready for a special evening out as a group. A special evening surprise Thank-you from us to you.
Day 7 Saturday.
Last day together we eat a local breakfast and then off to the farm for a horse ride to the tip top of the farm, honestly, nothing compares to this view! Wild scarlet macaw and maybe even a Howler Monkey, and endless trails. A once in a lifetime ride! After we eat our farewell lunch together its back to the hotel to rest and relax with one day left to enjoy , the choice is yours.
Day 8 Sunday.
Heading back to San Jose in your air conditioned private transfer, get busy planning your next trip with us!

Horsemanship clinics will be $3400 per person for 7 days
This price includes all transfers to and from the airport, to the ranch and back each day, 7 nights accommodation based on double occupancy.
Price also includes breakfast, and a hearty lunch (evening meals are not included but lovely restaurants are located within a very short walking distance from your hotel. And our mountian option has a grill or delivery if you don’t feel like cooking ) Also included are all clinic days and lessons, trail riding (all rides are 2.5 to 6 hours long) and additional local tours. Prices DO NOT include flights from your destination country or meals on travel days.
